Société des Micro-Phonographes BETTINI. Action F 100. Paris, 2. Février 1901. #4522. Gianni Bettini (1860-1938) was born in Novara, Italy. In the 1890s he immigrated to New York where he invented a number of high-end phonographs and other significant phonograph improvements. He started to be an important competitors to Edison, Pathé and Columbia. He is best known for having made the first recording of the voices of several very famous singers and celebrities like Mark Twain, US-President Harrison and Pope Leo XIII. In France, Bettini sold his phonographs through his Micro-Phonographes Bettini. Bettini has signed this share as Un Administrateur. EF.
