1937 (1 Oct.) Air Orient envelop to Marseille bearing 90c. franking (defective) tied by Shanghai c.d.s. and showing the small letters "Via Hanoi" in purple, the reverse with Canton c.d.s. (8.10) and boxed handstamp indicating that this letter travelled by train within China due to the aeroplane not arriving. Also 1936 (15 Sept.) a smaller Air Orient envelope to France "via Canton - Hanoi" bearing 90c. air stamp franking tied by Shanghai c.d.s.; the arrival c.d.s. is on the reverse. Rate 1.2.2.1.
