Great War Bronze Memorial Plaque (Philip Ambrose Favard Ridgway), very fine Estimate £ 50-70 Second Lieutenant Philip Ambrose Favard Ridgway, born Hull, Yorkshire, 1898; educated at Hymers College, Hull, where he was a member of the OTC; joined the Royal Flying Corps, 25.7.1917; commissioned Temporary Second Lieutenant (Pilot), 7.11.1917; he was killed whilst flying RE8 B4064, 21.4.1918, whilst posted at 52 Training Squadron; Ridgway is buried in Hull Western Cemetery.
