L.I.), first two nearly extremely fine, last good fine (6) Estimate £ 100-130 9269 Private Ernest George Douglas Walton, born Bedford Park, Chiswick, London, 1900; served with the 5th (Royal Irish) Lancers during the Great War; died of wounds, 12.11.1918, the day after the Armistice, and is buried in Cambrai East Military Cemetery. 61522 Private Sydney John Seager, born South Farnborough, Surrey; enlisted in the Queen´s (Royal West Surrey) Regiment; posted as 68430 Private to the 2nd/4th Battalion, London Regiment; killed in action on the Western Front, 26.10.1917, and is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium. Lieutenant Thomas Hugh Sandford Senior, served as 1229 Lance Corporal, Honourable Artillery Company, on the Western Front from 18.9.1914; Commissioned Lieutenant, 3rd Battalion, Worcestershire Regiment, 11.2.1915; killed in action, 11.6.1916, and is buried in Cambrin Churchyard Extension, France. Second Lieutenant Jan Hendrik Hofmeyr, born Cape Town, South Africa, December 1890; enlisted as 16328 Rifleman, King´s Royal Rifle Corps, 25.10.1915; Commissioned Second Lieutenant, 1/8th Battalion, Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment), 26.4.1917; killed in action on the Western Front, 27.10.1917, and is buried in Philosophe British Cemetery, Mazingarbe, France. Private 38306 Private Charles Dunmore, served with the Yorkshire Light Infantry during the Great War; transferred as 425071 Private, 148th Company, Labour Corps; died, 28.2.1919, and is buried in Beaulencourt British Cemetery, Ligny-Thilloy, France.
