New Zealand 1845-66, reverse dated 1860 (Charles M. Cooke A.B., H.M.S. ´Iris´), good very fine, extremely rare, with silver contemporary riband buckle by Loewenstark & Son Estimate £ 1,200-1,400 Approximately 15 New Zealand medals dated 1860 were awarded, of which 6 were issued to the Royal Navy. Of this 6, 3 were to Officers and 3 to rates. Three of the six issued to the Royal Navy were issued to H.M.S. Iris, with Charles Cooke´´s medal being issued 10.3.1873. Provenance: Spink May 1973
