N.Z.E.F.), edge bruising, generally nearly very fine or better, together with a St. John´s Lodge Masonic Jewel, silver (Hallmarks for Birmingham 1924), the reverse engraved ´Presented to P.M. Bro. Revd. Alexr. Cross M.A., in recognition of his services as R.W.M. Decr. 1924 - Decr. 1926´ (8) Estimate £ 60-80 Second Lieutenant George Duncan Ross, Commissioned Second Lieutenant, Gordon Highlanders; served during the Great War attached to the 8th Battalion, Royal Highlanders; killed in action 9.4.1917, and is buried in Mindel Trench British Cemetery, France. 841883 Private J. Low served with the 42nd Battalion, Canadian Infantry (Quebec Regiment) during the Great War, killed in action, 1.4.1918, and is buried in La Chaudiere Military Cemetery, Vimy, France. 20362 Private J. Kirkland served with the 1st Battalion, Wellington Regiment, New Zealand Expeditionary Force during the Great War; died 15.6.1917, and is buried in Etaples Military Cemetery, France. 28367 Private Charles Payton served with the 1st Battalion, Auckland Regiment, New Zealand Expeditionary Force during the Great War; died 4.10.1917, and is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium.
