N.I.), officially engraved in upper and lower serif capitals, India, suspension re-affixed, edge bruising, good very fine Estimate £ 3,200-3,600 Surgeon John King, employed as Apothecary, Native Infirmary, Madras, 1833; Garrison of Trichinoply, 1834; retired, May 1837. Medal sent to Madras, 4.8.1854 (India Office Records refer). One of approximately 147 Nagpore clasps to Europeans. Provenance: J.B. Hayward, June 1975.
