TRINIDAD 1863-72 Britannia Issue, Watermark Crown CC, Perf. 12 1/2 Covers 1865 (8 Oct.) envelope to France, bearing 4d. dull lilac horizontal pair (perfs. clipped at top) each neatly cancelled "1" and showing sender´s cachet in blue, red crayon "7", despatch c.d.s., Crowned Circle "paid/at/trinidad", circular-framed "pd" and London Paid c.d.s. (30/10) c.d.s., the last three in red, and Calais c.d.s. (30.10), all on face, three French transit c.d.s. on reverse. A clean and most attractive franking.
