A few faults in places though the only two examples recorded on soldier´s covers. Photo Estimate £ 500-600 Note: Although postage stamps were overprinted to be used in many government offices, it is extremely rare to find stamps overprinted to localise their use within a regiment. The overprints were applied to prevent the stamps from being stolen or misused. The unauthorised overprinting of Indian postage stamps was forbidden after 1905
