Gds.), nearly extremely fine, with Great War Bronze Memorial Plaque, ´William Percy Jones´, this in card box of issue, with portrait photographic image of recipient Estimate £ 300-350 10493 Guardsman William Percy Jones, born Oswestry, Salop; enlisted Coldstream Guards, 14.11.1913; served during the Great War with 2 Company 2nd Battalion Coldstream Guards on the Western Front from 22.8.1914; by early 1915 the 2nd Battalion were entrenched at Cuinchy and Jones was, ´´killed in action in the brickfields at Cuinchy, 13 Feb. 1915, being shot by a sniper´´ (The National Roll of the Great War, refers); 6 members of the Battalion were killed that day; Jones is commemorated on Le Touret Memorial, Pas de Calais, France.
