x Great Britain Line-Engraved Issues 1840 One Penny Black Plate 1b EF, good to very large margins, on entire from Newry to Dublin dated 2 July 1840, tied by two strikes of the purple-brown Maltese Cross of Newry, the reverse with corresponding despatch datestamp in the same colour; light enclosure bend/crease crosses adheswive but in absolutely no way detracts from this fine, rare and most attractive usage.
