Service. 1674 Sergeant Ruben Broadhurst, M.M., enlisted in the Royal Field Artillery; transferred to the 15th Battalion, Motor Machine Gun Service on its formation, May 1915; served in France with 18th Division from 25.7.1915; transferred as 20506 Sergeant, Tank Corps, and served in India with 1st Indian Brigade, January-November 1918. Sergeant Broadhurst won his Military Medal for the Battle of the Somme.
