Pair: Lieutenant T.B. Watson, Welsh Guards British War and Victory Medals (2.Lieut. T.B. Watson.), extremely fine, with photographic image of recipient and copy of service papers (2) Estimate £ 300-400 Lieutenant Thomas Browning Watson, born 1886; native of Sedbergham, Carlisle; educated at Keswick School and Keble College, Oxford; worked for the War Trade Intelligence Department, from 1915; served in the ranks 28th London Regiment (Artists´ Rifles) 23.3.1917-29.1.1918; commissioned Second Lieutenant Welsh Guards, 30.11.918; served during the Great War with No 4 Company in the French Theatre of War, 25.5.1918-12.3.1919; actions including at St. Vaast during the second week of October 1918, ´At midnight Battye took No 4 Company forward, with Watson and his platoon in advance. Watson encountered an enemy patrol of six men near the river, and succeeded in killing three - the rest escaped.´ (Regimental History refers); Lieutenant 30.7.1919.
