Hong Kong 1898 Surcharge With Chinese Characters — 10c. on 30c. grey-green in a block of six (2x3) [7-8] showing horizontal and traces of wide vertical kiss prints, large part original gum; a few age or tone marks on reverse and corner crease at top right. Horizontal and vertical kiss prints co-existed for only a very short period. Photo Estimate HK$ 2,500-3,000 The vertical kiss print double can be prominent in the first printing and becomes less noticable after the appearance of the second printing. The shift is typically 0.5mm upwards.
