Indian States, Patiala, Order of the Holy Saint, a Rare Set of Insignia, of excellent quality, by Spink, London comprising (a) Collar Chain, 64mm, silver-gilt and enamel, comprising four hawks on circular gilt bands linked with six gilt and blue enamel arrow devices, four gilt and blue enamel katar links and four crossed sabres set on gilt and white enamel bands, the whole chain divided by a composite double hawk device which supports an integral Badge, 75mm x 55mm, silver-gilt and enamel, depicting a saint holding a hawk and an arrow, surrounded by inscriptions and flowers, the reverse inscribed with the manufacturer´s name (b) Star, 82mm, silver-gilt and enamel, depicting the head of the saint within a blue enamelled band, the rays set with a silver hawk and crossed arrows, reverse fitted with the Spink and Son plate reading, ´Medallists to H.B.M. The King´, extremely fine, circa 1935, with full sash riband and two lapel rosettes, in case of issue (3) Estimate £ 5,000-6,000Believed to be one of only three sets manufactured. The Order was intended for award to Sikhs only.
