1867 5c Yellow green, original plate, second state, a magnificent vertical pair in a brilliant yellow green color with razor-sharp impression, positions 1/13, lovely large balanced margins all around, tied to neat 1867 entire folded letter to Cochabamba by boxed handstamp of Sucre that in the stampless period read ""Esterior/Franca"", this marking was used for foreign mail covers, now it is either worn so the wording is not present or it was purposely partially erased so that it could be used as a canceller for adhesives as it is well known used on Condor covers from this town, letter is datelined July 8, 1967 making this an exceptionally early use of the 5c Condor; extremely fine; this is the earliest cover in the Ortiz-Patino collection and the earliest cover known to him, it certainly is within the realm of possibility that this is the earliest Condor cover known, nevertheless this is an exceptionally high quality usage of this very early and rare yellow green is Estimate US$ 3,000-3,500
