1855-75 France inbound to Bolivia postal history collection, assemblage of sixteen covers mounted and written up on pages showing an interesting range of usages to Bolivia, eleven covers are franked with various issues of stamps from the imperforate Napoleons to the 1870´s perforated Ceres issues, most of the earlier covers with imperforate and perforated Napoleon issues were sent via British packet by way of Panama, includes two covers prior to 1862 when the British post office in Cojiba was opened, but most of the later went through that post office and includes a July 1862 quadruple rate cover with two horizontal strips of three of the 80c Rose on pinkish (#20) with clear ""Cobija/C/JY 10 62"" c.d.s. being a very early marking of this British Agency post office in Bolivia, other attractive and colorful frankings paying single and double rates with various frankings, also five stampless covers, one an 1856 folded paid letter by British packet to Corocoro with ""Lamar"" straight line handstamp on arrival in Bolivia, plus four others carried or placed in the mails by forwarders including an 1874 cover to Sucre with fancy ornate ""Cancelado"" oval of Lamar and ""Dorado Hermanos/Antofagasta"" oval forwarding agent´s handstamp, the collection is neat with mostly entire folded letters, condition of the stamps is varied but most are fine-very fine and an attractive collection Estimate US$ 1,500-1,800
