#11, 21, 23, 1872 18kr Bister Small Shield pair and single in mixed franking along with Large Shield 1kr Yellow green (2x) and 3kr Rose, all tied to 1873 folded cover to La Paz, Bolivia by Frankfurt a. M./16 8 73"" c.d.s., carried by British packet with London transit and red crayon ms. ""1/5"" rate marking, Tacna, Peru transit on the reverse, small corner fault to the 18kr single and and the 1kr separated poorly prior to affixing removing a piece from the top margin of the right stamp, a portion of which is on the bottom of the left stamp, some soiling along a horizontal file fold, still a fine and rare cover; the postage on this cover paid a very hefty 59kr; an extremely rare destination for a Shield cover with no more than two or three examples known going to Bolivia; 1972 Walter Engel certif Estimate US$ 1,400-1,600
