Charles I, group IV, Halfcrown, 15.44g., Tower, type 4, king in armour on foreshortened horse walking left, tail flows between horse´s legs, reads MAG BRI FRA ET HI, rev. oval garnished shield, m.m. triangle in circle (cf. JGB 369; N.2214; S.2779) struck on a small thick irregular flan, mottled silver/black tone, otherwise a superb portrait piece, the king´s figure entirely struck up, good very fine, scarce thus Estimate £ 150-200
