Crime and Punishment Punishment Transportation 1846 (5 Nov.) envelope inscribed ´Free, A. McLeay´ addressed to Sydney, the reverse showing fine strikes of oval dated Camden N.S.W. (despatch) and G.P.O. Sydney (arrival) markings. Opened-out for display on neatly written-up page with fascinating details relating to McLeay: he was in overall command of the penal colony on Norfolk Island during the convicts uprising of 1834, which resulted in many deaths and injuries, before being quelled by Capt.
