Crime and Punishment Punishment Transportation 1846 (June) entire letter Capt. Bunbury in Melbourne to his wife in Sydney – he explains that his return would be delayed as he was a witness in the case of an employee accused of forging a ´bill of exchange´, red framed ´paid at/melbourne´ d.s. and inscribed ´Overland´, also 1920 (c.) postcard depicting Daniel Donovan (´Served 16 years an innocent man´) – the story was over 100 years old but interest had been re-awakened by the press over one particularly controversial transport in 1819 on the ship ´Success´.
