Crime and Punishment Punishment Transportation 1757 (13 Sept.) entire letter to the Sheriff of Banff, the address panel inscribed ´Free´ and ´To be delivered by the Postmaster of Banff on receipt, containing Warrant for Transporting the Prisoners´, the reverse with light strike of the large black ´keith´; tear and light toning at top though still attractive and most interesting – the convicts, both women, had been guilty of ´wilful fire-raising´.
