Crime and Punishment Punishment Transportation 1719 printed Act of Parliament entitled ´An Act for the further Preventing Robbery, Burglary, and other Felonies, and for the more effectual Transportation of Felons´; 1751 printed account (20 pages) for the ´Surry´ Assizes – of the thirty-seven cases heard: six death sentences, fifteen transportations, three branded, three whipped – the other punishments being too trivial to list!; fine.
