VIRGIN ISLANDS 1887-89 Crown CA Issue Covers 1889 (4 Dec.) envelope registered to Germany, bearing 1d. rose (5) in combination with 1867-70 4d. lake-red on pale rose paper all cancelled with c.d.s. and showing "R" in oval h.s. and a further strike of the c.d.s., arrival c.d.s. on reverse; envelope with stain at top though a scarce mixed-issue franking.
