A Memento of Brigadier Lorne Campbell A letter to the current vendor, dated 1992; together with an officer's bronze collar-badge of the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders; and a signed photograph of the Brigadier in regimental uniform Estimate £ 40-60 Note: On 6th April 1943 at Wadi Akarit, Lieutenant Colonel Campbell led his battalion through a minefield and anti-tank ditch to secure a bridgehead, taking 600 prisoners. Despite being wounded, he held this bridgehead with extreme determination under heavy bombardment, and repelled a series of counter-attacks .
