A Memento of a World War I VC Winner A single fawn cloth shoulder-strap bearing Colonel's metal badges of rank, from an officer's "British Warm" overcoat; together with a letter dated 1977 from the owner, Colonel DJ Dean, to the current vendor (2) Estimate £ 120-180 Lieutenant Dean of the Queen's Own Royal West Kent Regiment, won the Victoria Cross near Lens in September 1918, when his platoon held a newly-captured enemy trench against no less than five determined counter-attacks.
