Lovett thanks the Committee for the telegram telling him particulars of the awarding of the 1950 Collier Award and "will be glad to attend the ceremony". He signs in blue below; *) Letter from General Nathan F. Twining, USAF, Vice Chief of Staff to Dr. Webster, President NAA. One-page, typed on Dept. of the Air Force letterhead, Oct. 8, 1951. Twining thanks Webster for the invitation to serve as a member of the 1951 Collier trophy Committee, and signs boldly in blue below. In his 45-year career, Twining, a distinguished Mustang pilot, rose from private to four-star general and appointment to the highest post in the US Armed Forces; and *) 1953 Award Ceremony Booklet with typed brief of awardees James H.
