Sopwith, Sir Thomas Octave Murdoch (1888-1989). English aviation pioneer, business executive and yachtsman; inductee in the International Air & Space Hall of Fame and the America's Cup Hall of Fame. Autograph Signature. Sopwith signs "T.O.M. Sopwith" in blue below hot air-balloons on a green post card commemorating the Gordon Bennett Balloon Race, 1911; also Spahn, Warren (1921-2003).
