Japanese Imperial Army Occupation of Manchuria (Manchukuo) Enlisted Man's Sword. Brass hilt and grip decorated with plum blossoms and crossed flags near pommel. 29" blade with single fuller either side, soldier's name engraved near ricasso: "Seishiro Itagaki"; characters for "Imperial Army" and number "43384" other side. Japanned scabbard with single suspension ring. Some light discoloration and scuffs to scabbard. A Fine sword.
