Russia. 1827 Model Pioneer Sword. Heavy cast brass ribbed hilt, single cutting-edge, falchion-style 19", saw back blade. Dated "1830" on hilt and "AG", numbered "187". A utilitarian sword used to cut away undergrowth, and construct defensive works. Normal wear to hilt, darkening and some rust to blade. No scabbard. Hairline crack upper edge. Fine-About Very Fine.
