Custer, George Armstrong. Civil War Date Custer Autographed Envelope. About 5 1/2" by 3". Postmarked Washington, D. C. April 26, 1864, with address written in brown ink by George Armstrong Custer to "Mrs. General Custer / 339 Penn Avenue / Washington, D. C." Uncut pair of three cent stamps affixed. Nice condition, with no missing ends.
Written just after the Battle of Yellow Tavern in which Jeb Stuart was killed.
