Custer, George Armstrong. Civil War Date Custer Autographed Envelope. About 5 1/2" by 3". Postmarked Washington, D.C., June 4, 1864, with the address written in pencil by George Armstrong Custer to "Mrs. General Custer / 339 Penn Avenue / Washington, D. C." Three cent stamp with bull's-eye cancellation affixed. Nice condition, with no missing ends.
Written just after the Battle of Yellow Tavern in which Jeb Stuart was killed.
