Custer, George Armstrong. Civil War Date Custer Autographed Envelope. About 5 1/2" x 3". The Washington, D. C. postmark appears to be April 22 or 24, 1864. The address is written in brown ink by George Armstrong Custer to "Mrs. General Custer / 339 Penn Avenue / Washington, D. C." Nice condition, with no missing ends.
Written just before the Battle of Yellow Tavern in which Jeb Stuart was killed.
