MacArthur, Douglas (January 26, 1880-April 5, 1964). American five-star general and field marshal of the Philippine Army. 8" x 10" photograph of General MacArthur and his wife and son as they step off of an airplane. The photo is signed by all three. Some folds present, but otherwise quite decent. Also included is a letter dated November 27, 1961 to George W. Ball, former Under Secretary of State, from Douglas MacArthur II, congratulating George on his appointment, and an additional letter from S. V. Bennett, Major General, October 22, 1966 on West Point letterhead discussing the West Point memorial to Douglas MacArthur. From the Collection of John Herzog.
