30th (Cambridgeshire) Regiment of Foot Officer's 1828-Pattern Shako. Victorian era. Felt body, patent leather peak, topped by cream-white pompom. Helmet plate with large crown over radiant plaque with acanthus wreath around regiment's battle honors and name. Gilt lion head either side suspends gilt, velvet-lined chin scales. Some light crazing of the patent leather and wear to the chin scales, overall Very Good. Ex Hammatt Collection.
