A detailed account of the sale of slaves (with the names of the high bidders) from the estate of the late Elizabeth Blanchard by J.B. Crozat & S. Guinault Auctioneers. J.B. Crozat writes that his firm has sold "Colin a negro boy 25 or 26 yrs old wood cutter and cartman good boy" for $1020; "the negro boy Jeffrey 19 or 20 yrs old" for $900; "the negro girl Eugenie with her child Clement" for $700; "Cloe a negro girl about 15 yrs old" for $560; "Melite, a negro girl about 8 yrs old" for $335; "Mathilde sister of Cloe, a negro girl about 13 yrs old" for $615; "Valerie a young negro boy about 12 or 13 yrs old" for $350; and "Azelie sister of Melite about 6 yrs old" for $300.
