Display Group of WWII Medals to Sam Ichiba, 3rd Battalion, 442nd Regimental Combat Team. Born in California to Japanese immigrants, Sam was interned with his parents as many Japanese-Americans were after Pearl Harbor. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1944 and saw action in France and Italy. He later retired to Stamford, CT.

* Army Good Conduct, WWII Victory, American Theatre and Army of Occupation Medals
* Presidential Unit Citation with cluster, uniform insignia and cloth insignia of the 442nd RCT; WWII photo and reprint of Ichiba in uniform and in field.
