Vietnam War Group to Lt. Jonathan Cameron Shine, Platoon Leader, C Company, 4th Battalion, 9th Infantry Manchus; 25th Infantry Division. Born in Pleasantville, NY in 1947, Shine was killed in action Oct. 15, 1970 in Binh Duong Province. While leading his platoon against a determined enemy force, he directed his men to evacuate the seriously wounded; while he was also seriously wounded, Shine covered their movement with fire on the enemy. The enemy then directed their fire on Lt. Shine and he was killed.
