Oakleaves; Coronation (2), 1937, 1953, last eight mounted as worn, very fine, with two riband bars, and with five postcards and an envelope addressed to recipient

Rear-Admiral Morrice Alexander McMullen C.B., O.B.E. (1909-1990), educated Cheltenham College; entered the Royal Navy as Paymaster Cadet, H.M.S. Erebus 1927; pre-war appointments included South Africa Station 1929-32, China Station 1933-36; Asst. Sec. to Admiral of the Fleet 1936-38; served in Atlantic, North Sea and Norwegian waters 1939-45 (despatches, O.B.E.); served in H.M.S. Prince of Wales (battle with the Bismark, and Atlantic Charter Meeting); H.Q. Western Approaches 1941-43; Mediterranean 1944-45 (Anzio Landing, re-entry into Greece, invasion of South France); post-war appointments included Captain of Fleet to C.-in-C. Far East Station, Singapore 1959-61
