A Romanian Artillery Officer's Tunic and Cap
A double-breasted brown twill tunic, piped with scarlet cloth, black velvet collar and cuffs, the collar bearing grenade devices in gold embroidery, pointed cuffs, edged with gold lace and scarlet piping, a triple row of gold Russia braid, indicating rank, to each sleeve, shoulder-cords of twisted gold Russia edged with braid forming a trefoil at the outer end; scarlet piping to backseams and skirt-slashes; and a képi of French style, with braided top and black velvet band edged with gold lace and triple row of Russia braid, the front with a braid loop (button missing) over a small rosette above the gilt metal reversed Fcypher , pale blue cotton lining inscribed ATELIERUL CENTRAL DE HAINE OFITERESTI, BUCURESTI (2)
The cypher is that of King Ferdinand I, 1914-27.
