An Officer's Accoutrements of the British German Legion.
A black patent leather sabretache, the flap edged with a double row of wavy embroidery and mounted with gilt VR cypher above a gilt metal scroll inscribed LIGHT CAVALRY BRITISH GERMAN LEGION; and a companion black leather shoulderbelt, also decorated with twin wavy lines of embroidery, fine florated gilt metal buckle, tip and slide of Hussar style, the tip bearing VR cypher beneath a Guelphic Crown, the front originally fitted with prickers and chains (both now missing) the latter secured by a gilt Guelphic Crown (2)
