A good saddlecloth for a mounted officer, buff cloth with scarlet edging bearing gold "check-and-vellum" lace with black central stripe; an Old-Style scarlet mess waistcoat of an auxiliary battalion, with silver Russia braid edging and pocket-ornaments and hook-and- eye fastening concealed by white metal studs; a gold-laced levée dress swordbelt and slings, with regulation clasp; and a white enamelled leather shoulderbelt mounted with a white metal whistle in its holder (lacking chains and chain-boss) (4)
