1625 protestation from the House of Commons to King Charles I after Parliament had refused to vote to grant the King's supply of money and King Charles had responded in turn by attempting to dissolve Parliament. Some paper loss.


Also 1645/6 ALS from Henry Elsynge, Clerk of the House of Commons in which he writes of his hope for peace after the defeat of the Royalists at Bovey Heath: "I feare the key will ... bee whether hee cna bee able to adventure one battaille more, before he will condescend to face to the desires of His People as they may thereupon setllte a well grounded peace.".
