Exchequer Payments without Account
1720 A 4 page document tracking the exchequer payments made "Without Account" in the period 25th March 1720 to 25th March 1725.
As these payments are made without account, the reasons are omitted but it does list all of the people paid during this period and the sum given.
This includes; £16 given to Sir Christopher Wren (only months before his death), £79,000 to Sir Joseph Eyles which was to be used for "The Young Princess", likely indicating a daughter of George II, and £1000 to Charles Maitland for inoculating HRH Prince Frederick from smallpox.
Excellent condition and great list of the courtiers under George I. (24 x 19cm)
