Pulteney Family
C. 1700 A pair of receipts recording payment to both the father, William Pulteney Senior, and uncle, John Pulteney, of William Pulteney, 1st Earl of Bath, a short serving "Prime Minister".
The receipt to his father, William Senior, is in regard to the payment for William Junior's service as a Page Boy to Charles II. For this he is paid £12.10s in 1689.
The receipt to his uncle, John, is a large receipt for the splitting of £1000 among five members of parliament from Lord Fitzhardinge. The other signatories other than John Pulteney are the Earl of Stanfordham, Philip Meadows, Robert Monckton, and Charles Furness.
