Exchequer Receipts and Tallies
A group of nine handwritten tallies and receipts from the exchequer. All receipts are in a similar style with the text containing the information, signatures at the bottom, and a tally of the monies on the right side of the page. Included on these documents are many interesting signatures, including; Robert Walpole, Viscount Grandison, Viscount Purbecke, a cousin of the Earl of Stanhope, a cousin of John Evelyn, and various other officials within the exchequer at the time.

All good to excellent condition. (14 x 14cm to 27 x 16cm)
