Orders from the Exchequer
A group of five handwritten orders from the exchequer that request payment for various causes.
Included in this lot are requests for payments to the keeper of His Majesties Horses (Charles II), Mr Arton who offers "whatsoever... you shall command" in return for payment, the Secretary of State (Robert Harley), the Duke of Lauderdale (signed by Duke of Buckingham, and Sir Harry Wood).
