1659 (25 October) majority portion of document signed from the Council of State ordering the payment of a particularly large sum: £7,908 to be repaid to Alderman Thomas Viner and Alderman Christopher Pack. Signed by Sir Henry Vane, the younger, Sir James Harington, Richard Salwey and a J Johnston. Part of document neatly torn away at top, perhaps to denote payment otherwise sound and a scarce group of signatures.
