1652 (22 Nov.) letter given at Whitehall signed "Wm: Constable Presdt:) with integral address panel reading "For the Commissioners of the Navie", reading:
We "advise coming soo late, the Squadron designed fo the Straights cannot be delayed either by alteration of any of the Ships already pitcht upon for that service, or for sheathing them. Unless it may be done by the time prefixt for their setting sayle...", asking to be told when the ship is readied and for a report on the "rest of the winter guard".
Long filing endorsement on the reverse with fine paper seal, one panel excised otherwise fine and scarce.
