1649 (28 March) letter signed "T: Fairfax" reading "These are to require you on sight hereof to forbear to offer any violence to the person of Edward Heath of Cotesmore in the Country of Rutland Esq., or to any of his family, or to take away his horses or other goods and you are to forbear to quarter any officers or soldiers at his house, he providing for his just and equal proportion abroad". Complete with intact red wax seal at top left and unusual filing endorsement patched on reverse on different paper reading "A protection of my house and family at Cotesmore".
